Could you offer your time and skills to help support your community? No two days are the same at Cumbria Deaf Association, and we welcome anyone who is up for the challenge. You can make a difference!
What to expect as a volunteer
Once you have signed up and we have carried out a DBS check you will be given a quick rundown on our health and safety policies’ and procedures. You will then be given Safeguarding and Deaf Awareness training and complete the introduction to sign language course, which is run by our training team.
As you will be aware and come to understand, Deafness is a hidden disability and sometimes our hearing world can create a lot of obstacles and challenges for our deaf community.
