Want to know what’s been going on in Barrow? Here are a few recent highlights from Barrow Hub that was shared with members at the 2025 AGM.
- Barrow hub was nominated for an award by Love Barrow group for providing social and well being activities
- We attended a local arts festival and raised over £160
- Two of our members turned 60 so we held a big party at the hub
- We had a fantastic Christmas events and the group attended a glass Baubles making experience
- Morrisons raised some money for us and provided us with a food voucher which contributed to our Christmas buffet
- We helped the local bereavement charity hit there target of making over 1000 paper cranes , the group found this very fiddly craft but fun
- Barrow helped a local art group create Barrow top trumps cards game by researching the local cemetery
- Our long standing staff member Janice, we would like to thank Janice for her support and hope she enjoys her retirement, Becky now helps run the centre
- We have collaborated and ran a series of mental health and wellbeing workshops with Sign health
- Barrow group attended the silver Sunday event at the forum theatre. The group enjoyed going to see a local art exhibition and we enjoyed a slice of cake afterwards
